OBJECTIVE:
To gain a position in digital 3D animation/graphic design to challenge my creative abilities with a team of professionals, where my experience and talent would be of value.

WORKSTATIONS:
Custom Pentium IV: 2.5MHz,512MB ram, 120GB hard drive, scsi-II fast controller, loaded with a Philips re-write- able CD-rom, ATI video capture card, DPS perception video recorder 60GB hard drive, In-Sync Speed Razor, Lightwave 3D, Illustrator, Photoshop, Quark and internet software. Also has a DVD burner and running Adobe Premier with a Pinnacle System. (A complete list is available upon request) running on Windows 2000 NT Professional.

Power Macintosh: 7500/8.5OS, 128MB ram, 5 GB hard drive, loaded with Photoshop, Illustrator, Pagemaker, Freehand, QuarkXpress, Director, Flash, Corel Draw and internet software and devices. Output Devices:JVC S-VHS video recorder, HP color LaserJet printer, Epson Stylus Pro Photo printer. Extras:1200 dpi scanner, 100MB zip drive and a 270MB syquest drive.

EXPERIENCE:

3D ANIMATOR (August 1993 - Present)

Ads, flyers, logo creation, design, promotional packages, web site development and video animation. Cosmos Productions, creating flying logos and computer animations using Illustrator 8, Photoshop 5.5, QuarkXpress 4.1, Razor and Lightwave 3D. Other work includes, Adcom, PrimeCo and Cellular One.


SENIOR DESIGNER (February 1999 - Present)

Garry Alan Design Northbrook, IL Responsible for Image cataloging, scanning and high end photo manipulation. Design, package design and internet graphics. Some of my work includes, GAD website, Walgreens, Genesis, Mazzetta. Programs used daily are QuarkXpress, Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Flash, Fetch, (MAC & PC)

 

ART DIRECTOR (April 1998 - February 1999)

Washburn International Mundelein, IL Responsible for Image cataloging, designing and placing ads, package design and photo shoots. Some of my work included, Sammy Hagar, Pantera, and Kid Rock. I dealt directly with over seas printers, film houses and photographers. Programs used daily were QuarkXpress, Photoshop & Illustrator.(MAC)


DTP SPECIALIST/GRAPHIC DESIGNER (July 1997 - April 1998)

InterPro Translations Solutions, Inc. Rosemont, IL Utilized desktop publishing skills in multiple languages to a wide variety of projects from 4 page spread media kits to 400 page safety catalogs. Worked directly with translators and project managers. I also provided technical support in graphics & image cataloging. Programs used daily were: Word, Lotus, Pagemaker, Framemaker, Photoshop, Illustrator, Corel and Director. (IBM & MAC)


DESIGN COORDINATOR (January 1997 - July 1997)

Print Image International (formerly NAQP) Chicago, IL Applied desktop publishing skills to a variety of in house projects, such as newsletters, flyers, forms, magazines and the creation of a new logo. I also provided technical assistance in scanning and photo manipulation, along with various administrative support functions in projects such as press releases, web sites, log updates, media clippings monitoring, printing quotes and shipping. (IBM & MAC)


ART DIRECTOR (June 1990 - July 1996)

Admiral Theatre Inc. Chicago, IL Responsible for all design, typeset & paste-up on all forms of advertisements. Concept thru completion. Placed ads on a daily basis and tracked them for efficiency. Worked directly with outside printing companys. Created logos, web page, promotional kits, business cards, letterhead and all in-house advertising including; menus, table-tents, posters, signs, coupons, matchbooks, t-shirts, jackets & hats. (Macintosh: Pagemaker, Photoshop, Illustrator, Quark)

ART DIRECTOR/EDITOR (January 1996)

Behind the Scenes Magazine Chicago, IL Created a publication for a lucrative market. Responsible for photo shoots, scanning and retouching images, designing and overseeing graphic artists. Pagination and printing also my responsibility. (Macintosh: Pagemaker, Photoshop, Quark, Illustrator)

ASST. ART DIRECTOR (May 1985 - July 1989)

Tri-Publishing Inc. Mesa, AZ Responsible for designing all spec ads, b/w & 4 color for three of Arizona's largest monthly magazines. (Guide to Homes and Autozone) All flyers, brochures and sales reminders. Supervised own staff.
